ويقول لـ"الرسالة نت":" خرجت من المسجد وأنا متعب بعض الشيء وتفاجأنا بسماع إطلاق نار كثيف في منزل قريب، فعرفت على الفور أن ابني علي هو الهدف، وبقيتُ أدعو الله أن ينصره أو يختاره شهيداً.. والحمد لله".

وهي ساعات كأنها عقودٌ مرت على عائلة السويطي بعد أن حاصرت قوات مدججة بأعتى أنواع الأسلحة بلدة بيت عوا جنوب غرب الخليل، وباشرت بتطويق منزل الأسير محمود السويطي المحكوم بالمؤبد في زنازين الاحتلال، فلم يشكك أهالي البلدة بأن المستهدف في هذه العملية الغادرة هو المجاهد علي السويطي (42 عاما) الذي أرّق قيادات الاحتلال منذ خمسة أعوام مضت.

ويضيف خالد:" سرقوا عينيه من أجل فحصهما ومعرفة من رأى خلال الساعات ال24 الماضية، وبعد ذلك انسحبوا كالفئران ورموا جثمانه على الجهة المقابلة للبيت فوجدناه وقد مُثّل بجسده".

وتسجل السنوات التي غاب فيها عن عائلته ووالديه وبلدته معاناة لدى عائلته، فتلك لم تتمكن من رؤيته إلا مرة كل بضعة أشهر لدقائق معدودة، كما حرمها الاحتلال من التنقل في كثير من مدن الضفة وضايقها عاكساً فشله في اعتقال أو اغتيال علي.

ويقول والده إسماعيل:" علي كان الابن الغائب، كنا نتمنى أن يجلس معنا مرة لفترة طويلة وأن يشبع أطفاله من رؤيته، ولكننا نحتسب عند لله كل هذا الظلم ونتمنى أن يرزقه الجنة وما هو خير من الدنيا بما فيها".

ويقول شقيقه:" لو سألتم في البلدة عن علي السويطي لعرفتم مقدار المحبة التي يحملها أهاليها له، والعديد من الأطفال يرونه قدوة خلال ألعابهم وتقليدهم له وهو يحمل سلاحه".وليست هذه "الألعاب التقليدية" إلا حلماً كان يرسمه الشهيد طوال سنوات مقاومته للاحتلال، حتى إذا فاضت روحه إلى خالقها سكنت واطمأنت لمستقبل أجيال بأكملها.
